A fire broke out on the top floor of the domestic parking garage at San Francisco International Airport Tuesday morning.
Flames were first reported at 6:15 a.m. and as of 7 a.m. firefighters were on the scene putting out the blaze, said airport spokesperson Doug Yakel.
Several cars were on fire, but the exact number of vehicles damaged is unknown.
Flights are not impacted by the fire, but the domestic parking garage is closed and people are being directed to park in the international garage.
It’s unknown when the domestic garage will reopen.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
This is a developing story.
