Final U.S. medal of Tokyo Paralympics won by men’s wheelchair basketball team, and it’s gold

The U.S. men’s wheelchair basketball team beat Japan to win the Tokyo Paralympic Games gold medal Sunday.

Of note: Defending champion Team USA won the game 64-60 to clinch the U.S. a final Tokyo Games medal.

The American women’s team won a bronze medal Saturday.

By the numbers: The U.S. won 104 Paralympic medals in total at the Tokyo Games, including 37 golds, to place third on the table.

China finished first with 207 medals, including 96 golds.Great Britain was second with 124 medals, including 41 golds.
